Natural Occurrence
"Natural Occurrence" is inspired by earth elements exposed at volcanic sites. Heat, pressure and thermal water trigger chemical reactions to form various compounds. Each occurrence follows natural laws such as subatomic particle behavior and geometric crystal formation. In this book, gold line drawings inspired by scientific principles are layered over photographic images of volcanic land surfaces.

Works of Heat
"Works of Heat" is a photographic series inspired by the process in which heat energy forms the Earth. Dough is attached to stones and oven baked to simulate how bedrock transforms during volcanic activity, resulting in a new landscape whose surface is akin to that of rocks. This book folds and unfolds, allowing one to see the results individually and collectively.

The Great Stillness
The Great Stillness is a photographic series which began with thought on what lies beneath paved city surfaces. Deep below exists a bedrock formed from geological activities such as volcanic eruptions and plate tectonics. Such phenomena may be occurring at this very moment, but with movement on a scale too grand for us to perceive. This hand-bound book comes with reattachable photo cards which you can rearrange and place on different page backgrounds.
